JOB TITLE: PART TIME FINANCE ASSISTANT

LOCATION: Sophia Housing, Cork Street, Dublin 8

ABOUT SOPHIA: Sophia is a national organisation, who has been
supporting people as they emerge from homelessness since **Apply on
the website**. Responding to the ever-growing need in Ireland Sophia
now directly supports **Apply on the website** adults and **Apply on
the website** children.

Sophia is a niche service provider for two reasons; Firstly, it sees
the provision of home of one?s own as the primary response to
homelessness and the intervention that Sophia is exclusively focused
on. Secondly as an Approved Housing Body, its core mission is to
provide homes for individuals, couples and families who not only need
a home but also present with other support needs.

Sophia recognises that homelessness can have a traumatic impact on
people and that services need to be designed and delivered in a trauma
informed way.

REPORTING TO: Finance Officer

CONTRACT: Fixed term - **Apply on the website** months from November
**Apply on the website** (Maternity leave)

HOURS: **Apply on the website** hours per week (4 days) Monday to
Friday

JOB PURPOSE: To support the effective operation of the accounts
payable function at Sophia Housing Association.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

_ACCOUNTS PAYABLE_

Under supervision of Finance Officer,

* Processing invoices in line with the organisations procurement
process.
* Coding and posting of invoices to the Finance system
* Coding and posting of staff expenses to the Finance System.
* Prepare individual EFT payments and payment batches by EFT and
providing supporting documentation for approval of payments.
* Posting payments to the Finance system
* Reconciling creditor statements
* Maintaining filing/record keeping system.

_OTHER_

* Assist with logging and onward distribution of post

PERSON SPECIFICATION

* Previous experience working in busy accounts payable role
* Strong communication skills with the ability to work on your own
initiative and as part of a team.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Demonstrate an ability to manage workloads to meet tight reporting
timelines
* Strong administrative, numeric and analytical skills.
* Strong organisational skills and adaptability in a fast-paced
environment
* Ability to multi- task and prioritise.
* Excellent IT literacy and administrative skills,
* Experience with SAGE **Apply on the website** is advantageous.
